On the 14th of March, we hosted Dis Collective to present their founding, ethos, and development. Dis is a disability-led research collective which advocates for the value of disabled experience within space and culture. The talk looked at how we teach, learn, and facilitate crip discourse within architectural education.
Dis was founded by architectural researcher Jordan Whitewood-Neal & artist and writer James Zatka-Haas. Jordan and James are currently co-leading a Design Think Tank at the LSA as well as working on various projects and pieces of writing which address crip time, history, pedagogy, and the spatial condition of the night.
