Deforestation in the Amazon is on the rise. Brazil’s far-right president Jair Bolsonaro plans to open the rainforest to ranching, farming and mining. This threatens indigenous populations and impacts climate change. We visited the Amazon to meet with an indigenous community fighting for survival, and a farmer who hopes the new policies will help future economic growth.
