A video from the K2 batallion, part of the 54th mechanized brigade. Fighting took place in the Soledar-Siversk axis. After succesful precision hits with mortars and grenades dropped by drones (see EPISODE 1 [ Ссылка ]), Ukrainian grenade-dropping drones continue to soften them up, before infantry comes in and clears the trench.
They are perhaps Ukraine’s most well-known unit, the K2 battalion of the 54th Mechanized Brigade is an elite group of fighters who are veterans of nine years of fighting against the Russians in the Donbas. And they recently won recognition across the world for a terrifying video of their tanks destroying Russian trenches at point blank range – then running over the survivors. Now they have released more footage explaining what really happened in the battle – and how running out of ammunition forced them to take drastic action. This is the real story of one company holding the frontline against Putin in the fight for Ukraine.
