Itchy is a very timid and troubled goose. When I first noticed Itchy, he would not get within 5 feet of me. Now, Itchy will eat right below my feet. I believe he has figured out that he gets picked on less when he's near me.
I'm not quite sure how to help Itchy, other than to fatten him up some. He has a wide range of ailments including, being underweight, having a deformed right leg which gives him a limp, and the inability to produce oil from his preen gland. Whenever Itchy gets wet, his feathers get soaked.
Either Itchy is not preening, or the oil gland does not work at all. I'm thinking the latter.
Anyway, I intend to look after Itchy as long as he is in the park.
