Table Mountain is an 11,106' mountain rising in the middle of the Teton range. While it is a challenging hike in the summer (8.1 miles and 4,133' of elevation gain), it is much harder in the winter (15.7 miles and 4,461' of elevation gain). This extra distance is due to the 3.8 miles of cross country skiing that is required to get to the base of the trail. In this attempt, I set off when it was just light enough to see the trail. I cross-country skied to the base and then put on snow shoes. I reached the summit in a little over 6 hours.
