(18 Nov 2017) Celebrations continued into Saturday afternoon in downtown Harare, as citizens cheered the army's intervention in national affairs.
Thousands took to the streets around Zimbabwe's capital, blasting car horns singing, dancing and cheering passing army vehicles.
The crowds gathered to demand the departure of President Robert Mugabe, one of Africa's last remaining liberation leaders, after nearly four decades in power.
