The yearly Moto GP held in Philip Island attracts some awesome charter flights from Nippon Cargo Airlines to Avalon Airport in order to transport the super bikes from Japan. This year, there has been a pair of 747-8F's and B747'400F's operating the flights, however the majority of these charters have been scheduled in and out at midnight.
NCA626, featured in the video, was the only flight scheduled during the day. Initially expected to leave at 7am, the flight was unfortunately delayed until 11:30am in much less ideal conditions. With a relatively strong headwind and being completely empty, it rotated very quickly and climbed even quicker. Despite being close to the end of the runway, the B747 was already a couple of thousand feet in the air by the time it reached us.
