I received a Tenkara fly fishing pole for fathers day. I finally got a chance to do some trout fishing in a small stream. I was impressed with how easy it was to cover a majority of the stream without a reel. Just a pole and some line. Simple, and effective. It would be a challenge to land a big fish using the Tenkara fishing pole. But using it for its intended purpose was fun. I look forward to fishing with tenkara again soon.
Having a Tenkara pole in a bug-out bag is a good choice because it collapses down to 18 inches.
