Over two dozen houses collapsed in Bihar due to soil erosion and were washed away in River Ganga on Tuesday. The incident took place in Bihar’s Bhagalpur district on the banks of River Ganga. Residents of the area were hit by floods during the monsoon season, and their woes have increased with soil erosion. After flood waters receded, soil erosion began, forcing locals to pack their belongings and vacate their homes. They have also complained that authorities are yet to visit the area or offer help.
