Introduction to Toastmasters International:
Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that builds confidence and teaches public speaking skills through a worldwide network of clubs that meet both online and in person. In supportive community or corporate environments, members prepare and deliver speeches, respond to impromptu questions, and give and receive constructive feedback. Through regular practice, members are empowered to meet personal and professional communication goals. Talha Bin Hamid's Toastmasters Journey:
Talha Bin Hamid, a Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent) and Head of Training Content Development at the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, is a distinguished member of the Toastmasters community. Talha, a sci-fi geek, gamer, reader, writer, trainer, and father of four, joined Toastmasters on June 1, 2016, at the Karachi Toastmasters Club.
Since then, Talha has made significant contributions to the Toastmasters community, co-founding or founding over 16 Toastmasters Clubs. His dedication and leadership have been evident through his service in various roles, including Club Growth Director, Program Quality Director, District Director, and Public Relations Manager of District 122P. Additionally, Talha has held the position of president for the Karachi Toastmasters Club, Storytellers Toastmasters Club, and Leaders Worldwide, San Francisco.
Throughout his journey, Talha has achieved the title of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) five times, demonstrating his commitment to personal and professional development through Toastmasters. His story is an inspiring example of how the organization helps individuals grow in their public speaking and leadership skills, embodying the Toastmasters' motto of "Where Leaders Are Made."
