So in my mind the best part about being a private pilot is trekking across the country with a duffel bag behind the seat and a willingness for adventure. Picking places to stop, meeting new folks, and making adjustments on the fly is what it's all about. If it's not a little scary it's probably not worth doing. This was my longest XC trip to date in 2025K and the plane performed perfectly. 583 NM across five States with two stops and 7.4 hours in the air. Sore back but totally worth it.
