A hit for George Formby Senior, who appears to have recorded (exclusively?) for Jumbo. Presumably Zonophone wanted to cash in on the success, so hired the recording pioneer Arthur Gilbert to 'cover' Gilbert made several records for a variety of companies & was chief recording engineer at Beka for a time.
