Transdnestrian seperatists staged a military parade through the capital of Moldova on Wednesday (3/9) to mark the anniversary of the proclamation of independence seven years ago. Soldiers of the Transdnestrian Army, formed by former Russian Army officers paraded through Tiraspol in front of Transdnestrian leaders and deputies from the Russian, Ukraine and Belarus parliaments. The so-called Transdnestrian Republic, a region between the Ukraine and Moldova along the Dnestr River, formally remains part of the Republic of Moldova.
