Early education administrators, center directors, and families are encountering many complex challenges and decisions as they are faced with reopening centers. What does high-quality early education look like in the era of COVID-19? How do we create and comply with protocols that will keep children and early educators safe?
Join us on Wednesday 7/22 at 3pm ET for “What ‘Reopening’ Means for Early Education,” an event in collaboration with HGSE’s Saul Zaentz Early Education Initiative. HGSE’s Nonie Lesaux, co-director of the Zaentz initiative, will be joined by Samantha Aigner-Treworgy, Commissioner of Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care, and Maria Gonzalez Moeller, CEO of The Community Group, an organization dedicated to supporting families by creating, managing, and nurturing high quality programs focused on education and related services. Since its founding in 1920, the Harvard Graduate School of Education has been training leaders to transform education in the United States and around the globe. Today, our faculty, students, and alumni are studying and solving the most critical challenges facing education: student assessment, the achievement gap, urban education, and teacher shortages, to name just a few. Our work is shaping how people teach, learn, and lead in schools and colleges as well as in after-school programs, high-tech companies, and international organizations. The HGSE community is pushing the frontiers of education, and the effects of our entrepreneurship are improving the world.
