Kenyan President William Ruto said the issue of the integration of Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces should not be allowed to derail the country’s path towards civilian rule. Ruto added that the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) will send a high-level delegation to mediate Sudan’s crisis when it is “practically possible” and undertake a final push for an agreement and ensure existing agreements are honoured.
