Aug. 11, 2022 on The Story: Tensions ran high at a Salem-Keizer school board meeting Tuesday night, as people discussed hot button topics like school resource officers, concealed carrying on campus and LGBTQIA+ issues. During the meeting, some were labeled as racist and transphobic, and one parent said people took photos of their license plates. Now, school officials are considering ways to make attendees feel safer.
