Since 2001 Miguel Salmon Del Real has conducted several Symphony Orchestras, Ensembles and Choirs in Mexico, Holland, Germany, France and the United Kingdom.
One of the most complete conductors of his generation, Miguel Salmon Del Real earns a Master degree in Orchestral Conducting Master (Conservatorium van Amsterdam, under Lucas Vis) and several bachelor degrees: Composition (Royal Conservatory, The Hague), Choir and Orchestral Conducting and Musicology (Instituto Cardenal Miranda and Istituto Pontificio di Musica Sacra di Roma), the Sonology Course (Sonology Institute, The Hague) and several studies in languages and humanities.
Invited twice as an active participant to the prestigious Master Course in Conducting at the Lucerne Festival Academy has been chosen by Pierre Boulez in 2005 and and Peter Eötvös in 2007. In 2009 he took part as one of 24 young conductors at the Bernard Haitink Master conducting course at the same city.
Some other courses include maestros as Ed Spanjaard, Pierre André Valade, Jorma Panula, Zsolt Nagy and Parkai Itsvan.
Having founded the Nederlands Nieuwe Muziek Groep in 2003 and the Ensamble Nuevo de México in 2009 he has premiered nearly 100 pieces from living composers around the globe.
