This video essay analyzes Jack Nicholson's performance in The Shining. Jack Nicholson uses several physical instruments to masterfully act crazy in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. Jack has to act big and exaggerated due to the size of the hotel, he uses his hands constantly, rarely ever blinks, peeps his tongue out and smiles whenever he's thinking about violence. The Shining is owned by Warner Bros, directed by Stanley Kubrick and Starring Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
