I noticed a little change after a Windows update was processed and now icons on the taskbar appear to be taking more space than usual. This appears to occur on tablet devices.
It appears a setting has caused this and was intended to allow the icons to be more easily pressed on a touchscreen. However, if you find this not preferable to you, an easy setting change can correct it for you.
