If you've been following along with the recent drag racing videos, you know I'm on a mission to figure out the weight on my car. I want the balance of the car to be closer to 50/50 but I don't want to keep adding weight on the front. The car is heavy enough as it is. Looking through everything on the rear of the car to figure out what I could move around to shift some of that weight forward or remove it altogether, there was only one thing that I could think of.
It's the last thing I wanted to do. I love the SSD Aluminum Beadlocks, I feel like they fit the car perfectly and really look like a scale drag car wheel. But unfortunately they are a little heavy. Around 140g heavier than say the Proline Split Six wheels even with my Custom Beadlock Rings. That's almost 6 oz!!
So to see what kind of difference that weight really makes, today I'm testing each wheel, using the same tires. Making some passes with the SSD wheels and swapping out to the Proline wheels for some more passes to compare them. I'm pretty happy with the results!!
