It's important to keep your binoculars clean, but you should always use a lens brush like this one, before cleaning.
Dust particles can gather on your binoculars lenses, and cause scratches on the glass if rubbed.
These tiny scratches will affect the performance of your binoculars, and diminish the image quality.
To avoid causing these scratches, use your lens brush to gently brush the dust away before cleaning.
After you've brushed off the dust, you can use a lens cloth and some cleaning fluids to clean the lenses.
Remember don't use water or breathe on the lenses as an attempt to clean your binoculars.
