This video contains optional subtitles for the lyrics, and these can be activated and deactivated by simply clicking on the "CC" button beneath the video.
This video upload is dedicated to the memory of the producer and co-writer of this track, Thom Bell, who passed away yesterday, at the age of 79.
I currently have two other videos featuring songs produced and co-written by Thom Bell, and they are these:
The Spinners : "Ghetto Child" (1973) • Unofficial Music Video • HQ Audio • Subtitle Lyrics Option

Elton John : "Are You Ready For Love ('79 Radio Edit)" (2003) • Official Music Video • HQ Audio

This performance is from the Washington, D.C. area TV show "Ebony Affair" in the early 1970s. I do not know the date or even the year of broadcast. It is probably from 1973 or 1974.
The source video I used to create this one is here: [ Ссылка ]
That was the best-quality upload featuring this performance I could find online. It is a mimed performance to the single, so I have replaced the audio track for a high-quality one of the single. This involved speeding up the footage slightly, as it was running a bit slow compared to the HQ audio track I am using. To accompany the beginning of the track, I have put up on screen a picture of the single as released in Germany. I have also cropped the edges of the picture, just enough to clean them up. I have also adjusted the colours, making the dark areas a bit darker and increasing the difference between the light and dark areas. I have also upscaled the resolution from 480p to 1080p, as this increases the bitrate, which causes the picture to look better in all the different resolution settings the viewer can select, and also allows for the highest quality audio, but please be aware that playing it at the 1080p setting is not going to make it look as good as a true 1080p video. I have also added optional subtitles for the lyrics.
This song was written by Thom Bell and Sherman Marshall. This track was produced by Thom Bell, and was released in 1973. The lead vocalist is Tim McQueen. According to Wikipedia, this single reached No. 17 in their native USA, No. 20 in the UK, No. 26 in Canada, and No. 95 in Australia. No other territories are mentioned.

I currently have one other video featuring footage of a performance on Ebony Affair, and it's this:
Candi Staton : "Young Hearts Run Free" (1976) • Unofficial Music Video • HQ Audio • Subtitle Lyrics

I have not been able to find an official presentation of the lyrics for this song. Presented below and as optional subtitles in the video is my own transcript of the lyrics, for which I have used the transcripts found on lyrics websites as a guide.
Lyrics:
"I'm Doin' Fine Now"
- New York City
(Words and Music by Thom Bell and Sherman Marshall)
Remember the day you up and left
I nearly cried myself to death
Oh, yeah
And then I met someone else
She made me stop and get a hold of myself
Oh, girl
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
Remember the day you walked away
I ran behind you and I begged you to stay
Oh, yeah
But you never heard a word I said
You kept on steppin', never turning your head
Yeah, oh, girl
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
Doo-doo, doo-doo
Doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo, doo
Doo-doo, doo-doo
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
I'm doin' fine now
Without you, baby
(I'm doin' fine now)
Hey, you had your chance now, baby, baby
(Without you, baby)
Say, you had your chance now, baby, baby
(I'm doin' fine now)
You didn't want me around
(Without you, baby)
Say, you had your chance now, baby, baby
(I'm doin' fine now)
Say, you had your chance now, baby, baby
(Without you, baby)
Oh, you didn't want me around
I'm doin' fine now
