TRT World Forum Digital Debates to discuss 'A New Era for the Palestinian Struggle?'

Over the last several weeks, as Israeli forces escalated their violations against the Palestinians invading the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, conducting raids and forced evictions in occupied East Jerusalem and a brutal military offensive on the blockaded Gaza Strip, Palestinians have once again been met with repression, violence and dispossession.

This Digital Debates session will examine the next logical steps for the Palestinian movement and the PLO in particular, and the possibility for a renewed push towards reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas. It will examine the status of the peace process today and where it is likely to go in the future, and whether a ‘two-state solution’ still has any possibility of offering a solution to the conflict. The session will examine the positions of Arab governments vis-à-vis the conflict, particular those who recently normalised relations with Israel, and whether or how they can more effectively challenge Israel?
