While Coaching his wrestlers, Ivan Ivanov needed a tool to specifically improve the functional strength, endurance and Power of his wrestlers. @ivan.ivanov.suples began with pieces of rubber and sand and constructed what we know as the Bulgarian Bag. Over time, the product was refined and the exercises became more specific to develop the fitness required for elite wrestling.
I have been lucky enough to be coached in wrestling, and certified in the Bulgarian bag by none other than the master himself. With almost 10 years of practice, here are my lessons on how to do the Fundamental Bulgarian Bag Exercises.

Bulgarian Bag Spin.
1) Feet Shoulder Width Apart
2) Grab Main handles and Swing side to side up to eye level.
3) Generate momentum from legs, & Crack Handle Like whip to spin bag.
4) Pull elbows up and wide, let bag pass shoulderblades.
5. Look at the bag as you pull over and around.
