After explaining terminology and the differences between CCS and CCUS, this presentation will deliver a high level, education oriented, primer on geologic carbon storage. It will answer the questions: What is, and where in the earth are, storage sites? What are the characteristics of a large scale commercial storage site and what data is needed to prove their viability? How is the CO2 safely contained over time? What does the lifecycle of a CO2 commercial storage project look like?
