The Kosovo question has divided the world for decades. Is Kosovo an independent country, as it claims? Or is it a territory of Serbia, as history suggests? Before either country solidifies their international standing (Serbia wants into the European Union; Kosovo hopes to become a UN member state) the issue must be resolved. So a novel solution has emerged: a land swap. A literal trade of territories. Is this a viable option or merely a “peaceful form of ethnic cleansing?”
