The tech industry pulls together diverse ideas to create products and services. Unfortunately, many of the companies that produce these products don't reflect the diversity of their ideas in their staff. These techies are changing that with initiatives and approaches of their own. We welcome Rashidi Hendrix, who has gone from music executive to TV producer to now, a tech entrepreneur with a successful new app called Laugh.ly, Eddie Washington, Lead Recruiter for the Brooklyn-based digital company, Genius, described as "a crowd-sourced annotation platform for music and culture," and via Skype, author, speaker, and tech entrepreneur Felecia Hatcher, Co-Founder of Code Fever.
