Happy new year to everyone!
To start the new year we have a new video for you :)
We started working on our solar arch. Roald taught himself how to use a welding machine, watched a lot of youtube how-to videos and practised first for a few hours. Now we have a massive solar arch on the back of the boat and it looks awesome! We can slide in two of the four solar panels when sailing.
We also started a new project, sewing a cockpit tent, bimini top and sprayhood. For this project we had the frame made by a company (Hanse sails Brouwershaven). They bent the tubes and installed the frame for us. We ordered the fabric (Sunbrella) and all other supplies (zippers, thread, runners etc). First we made molds from plastic which we used to cut the fabric. We got started with an industrial sewing machine. In this video we are working on the bimini top.
