As Donald Trump and Nikki Haley fight it out in New Hampshire, US President, Joe Biden, is launching a campaign to try and put the fight over reproductive rights at the heart of November’s election. It is a repeat of the strategy Democrats deployed to achieve better-than-expected results in the 2022 midterms. This comes on the 51st anniversary of Roe versus Wade, the landmark supreme court decision which legalised terminations across the US and was overturned by the US Supreme Court in 2022. Newsnight's Joe Pike has been in Illinois speaking to some of Carbondale's residents.
