Film crews arrive to film new #PeakyBlinders movie
Filming for the new Peaky Blinders movie is set to begin in the #LittleGermany area of #Bradford over the coming days.
Starring Cillian Murphy, the hugely successful TV show followed the escapades of a Birmingham crime gang in the years after World War One.
Creator Steven Knight is at the helm for the film, with Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy set to reprise his role as Tommy Shelby.
Shooting is due to start later, with temporary road closures in place until Sunday. The drama had previously been slated for seven series, but the pandemic forced bosses to stop short after six.
The film will take the place of the seventh series, it is understood, with shooting in Birmingham starting last month.
Filming is also taking place at other locations in West Yorkshire, including Leeds.
Residents and businesses in Little Germany have received letters from production company Oblik Productions Limited outlining the dates and times of the road closures.
Peaky Blinders’ six-series-run on TV was shot at locations across the UK, including Dalton Mills in Keighley.
The main mill in the Grade II* Listed complex where filming took place was destroyed in an arson attack in March, 2022.
Peaky Blinders is the second major movie to be filmed in Bradford in recent months, with the city's disused Richard Dunn Sports Centre being used to shoot parts of Danny Boyle's 28 Years Later.
Filming is due to take place from 1 November.
