You're looking for an original homemade gift? Or you just want to impress your beloved ones with a cool design idea? Then you are exactly right here! This unique accordion picture frame is simple to build and looks really nice!

Material needed:
Chipboard
2 x Photo-Poster (here 90x60 cm landscape format)
Triangular wooden slats
Strips of wood for the frame
Ruler, glue stick or wood glue, Pencil, scissors or box cutters,
Color Paint for the frame

Tools:
Circular saw, sander, clamps, cordless drill

Place the triangular wooden slats on the chipboard and sketch the cutting marks. Cut the wooden slats to the required length. Alternatives: Jigsaw or universal saw. Caution! Cut straight!
Now cut the two pictures. Set the wooden plate on the posters for cutting. For large images (here 90x60 cm) we recommend fixing with screw clamps. Set the first triangular slat on the image and cut it. Place the image pieces chronologically on the wooden board. Caution! Do not cut all image stripes with the same slat! They differ from each other and by doing so it can lead to discrepancies.
Always place the photo strip on the proposed triangular wooden bar. Arrange all strips next to each other without leaving any space. Now it’s time to cut the second photo! Be careful! Use the other side of the slat!
For smaller projects you can use a glue stick. But we recommend using wood glue for a smooth application. Apply the glue on the triangular wood and the image strips– wipe off the surplus glue immediately.
For a better grip we grind the wooden board before starting. Remove the dust from the wooden board. Put the wood strip for the frame at the top edge of the wooden board to align the triangular slates. Now glue all the triangular pieces.
Glue the board piece by piece as it dries quickly and the wood will not last. Advice: Fix the frame on the long side with screws and nails. For smaller projects just glue is fine. Is the wood board a bit twisted? Simply place something heavy on it. Be careful! Do not scratch the photo unintentionally! Glue the long sides of fix them with screws or nails.
