I first gained knowledge of Alex Meixner while attempting to book him for an appearance on what would be the last recorded "Big Joe Show", in Buffalo, 2009. He is widely considered to be the "Jimi Hendrix of the Accordion", and allegedly performed a complete 17-plus minute rendition of Iron Butterfly's "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" IN POLKA TEMPO.

Should you ever have the opportunity to see Alex, and his band, GO, ENJOY, a guaranteed worthwhile experience!

Alex packs the house wherever he, and his band perform, often playing non-stop for more than two hours at a stretch. At Oktoberfest celebrations, he is often accompanied by an Alpenhorn, and is known for including the youngest of attendees in re-creating a Ricola commercial.
