This video was taken in Dr R Selvasingam's resident's (Chiu Sen's mentor) house during a jamming or practice session with an International Tabla performer Vigneswaran Rajaendran in Kuching, Sarawak year 2013.

Velavaa was a very popular song sung by Bangalore A. R. Ramani Ammal.
She was one of Chiu Sen's favorite artistes!

Chiu Sen (Hakka, Chinese) is a disciple of the legend (late) Padma Vibhushan Smt. D.K. Pattammal & he continued under her grand-daughter, shishya-parampara Smt. Gayathri Sundararaman.

He learnt voice culture for a period of time from Sri Madurai G.S. Mani.

In Malaysia he has a few tutors for his devotional and classical singing there are:-
The late Smt. Vijayalakshmi Kulaveerasingam
Smt Bharathi Sharma
and now he is under Sri Sampagodu Vighnaraja to polish up his singing.

He is now a singing tutor and also performing artist...
His favorite quote: "I am nothing. I just love to sing and think of my Gurus. Without them, i don't think i will be able to sing today. I prostrate to all my Gurus and i really wish that my beloved god grand-mother / guru Pattammaa can hear my prayers that i truly miss her... She is my God and my life itself."
