BMW 730D E65 Engine knock when engine hot (after 3-5 minutes from engine start).
Axial play of crankshaft 0.20mm (in specs).
The knocking fades when engine rpms 1500. I drive the car daily. Is louder at idle!

- changed piston nr.3 -- no moe knock

Update 30.10.2022:
I did a compression test:
- cylinder 3: 10 bar
-cylinder 1,2,4,5,6: 20 bar
-oil pressure at idle when hot: 1.4 bar
-all cylinder bores diameter: 84.02 mm

Replaced piston nr.3: 83.80 mm with another one:83.94mm. I have to close to engine and fire it up.

Update 23.10.2022:

So i replaced that injector, nr.3, with another one, taken from a good working engine, no knocking.

The "new" one has the same sound :(.

Work done:
-Cylinderhead was resurfaced. New headgasket - Victor Reinz MLS
-All valves close perfectly.
-Oil: 5w30 LL-01.
-Injector values: -1.2 / + 0.8
-All lifters hard as a rock.
-New piston rings GOETZE
-Rod bearings ok and within specs: 0.03 mm play.
-Vibration damper ok
-No wear on cylinder block. No wear on piston skirts.
