The death toll from an earthquake in western Afghanistan has risen to 26.
A magnitude 5.3 tremor struck in the western province of Badghis on Monday afternoon, local time.
Around 800 houses in three villages are believed to have been destroyed by the quake.
The United Nations has confirmed women and children are among the dead.
A second quake - measuring 4.9 in magnitude - struck two hours after the first.
