As many as eight houses and one rice granary were gutted in a massive fire that broke out at the Gate Village under Payum Circle in Arunachal’s Siang District.
Gram Panchayat Chairperson Talung Yao while speaking to Northeast Live, said although the incident took place on Saturday, it could not be reported until today due to the lack of internet facilities and proper roads. He said an FIR has been lodged at Kaying police station.
It is worth mentioning that Gate is the last village under Payum circle. It is located near the Indo-China border.
