Western officials have said that Russia is looking to double, or even treble, the number of forces it has in the Donbas region as part of the next phase of its military campaign in Ukraine.
General Sir Richard Barrons, former commander of the UK's Joint Forces Command, has told Sky News that he predicts the battle for the region to be "the biggest so far."
