How to diagnose Sever's Disease.
In this video Dr. Mikkel Jarman discusses the condition of Sever's Disease, otherwise known as calcaneal apophysitis, and how to diagnosis it.
Sever's Disease is a condition of the foot that occurs when the child's heel’s growth plate has a painful inflammation that is usually the result of a dramatic growth spurt. Girls may see their growth spurts between eight and thirteen, and boys between ten and fifteen.

Other causes can be:
- A pronated foot, or a foot that rolls at the ankle when walking
- High or flat arches
- Being overweight
- Short leg syndrome
