STORYLINE:
The presidents of the EU Council and France on Thursday held joint talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Prague to discuss the conflict between the two countries.
Charles Michel and Emmanuel Macron could be seen seated alongside leaders from both sides of the conflict at talks on the sidelines of the inaugural summit of the European Political Community.
No details of what they discussed immediately emerged.
Last month, Armenia and Azerbaijan negotiated a cease-fire to end a flare-up of fighting that killed 155 soldiers from both sides.
Leaders from more than 40 countries, stretching from Iceland all the way to Turkey, are holding talks in the Czech capital to launch the new summit, which aims at boosting security and economic prosperity across the continent.
