브렌트유도 40달러 붕괴…WTI는 이미 30달러대로 추락
Brent crude prices have dropped under 40 U.S. dollars a barrel for the first time in almost seven years amid a general collapse in commodity prices.
European benchmark oil contract Brent North Sea crude for January delivery slid as low as 39 dollars 81 cents a barrel on Tuesday，.... the lowest point since February 2009.
New York′s West Texas Intermediate for January dipped below 40 dollars last week and hit a low of 36－64 cents a barrel on the same day.
A global oil supply glut， weak demand and a strong dollar have sent crude prices tumbling by more than 60 percent over the past 18 months from levels above 100 dollars a barrel.
