Forget supermarket sandwich bread, I bring you the perfect recipe for a healthier and much tastier homemade sandwich bread. It is soft as a pillow inside, the crust is thin and crispy, and the toasted sesame seeds on top add an amazing aroma! This bread is perfect for sandwiches, toast or just to eat on its own. It is so easy to make, you will never buy bread again!
Ingredients:
• Bread flour: 2 ½ cups (320 g)
• Water: ⅔ cup (160 ml)
• Plain yogurt: ¼ cup (60 g)
• Fresh yeast: 1 tsp. (3 g) or dry yeast: ½ tsp. (2 g)
• Tiny bit of sugar to start the yeast (optional)
• Vegetable oil: 1 tbsp.
• Salt: 1 tsp (6 g)
Note:
• If you use instant yeast, add it directly to the flour, no need to mix it with water
• If you use dry active yeast, mix it with water and a little sugar and let it activate for 5-10 minutes. If it starts to foam, then the yeast is alive and active, otherwise don't use it
• If you use fresh yeast you can either mix it with water as I did for a better distribution, or crumble it into the flour.
