This is one way to build a shelter quickly in the desert utilizing Sotol Stalks and two Patoos!
Sotol is similar to a yucca, but I believe in the agave family. Sotol grows 12-16 foot tall stalks and are easily collected once they die, detach and fall to the ground. Sotol is common in the Chihuahua desert. Goggle Sotol plants for more information.
Patoos ate large pieces of cloth I carry with me in every environment. They originate in the Hindu Kush Mountains. Large pieces of cloth are an important item to carry to create shade and warmth.
The string I pulled from the Patoos.
Keep in mind I have one minute to make a video.
Total build time 25 minutes.
More full length videos @DonnyDustsPaleoTracks See you in the bush!
