This low maintenance water trough was built with a used loader tire and connected to a well water line. It is equipped with a shut off and float valve and is used for cattle. If you decide to build something like this and are worried about the pvc piping, you can always switch to metal piping. The 2x4 was for a previous float and is really no longer needed.
