Russia says its air defence systems shot down two drones in the north of Crimea on June 19. Ukraine claims to have downed all 4 Kalibr-type cruise missiles that Russia fired at the Odesa region on June 19. Moscow says it has thwarted an attempt by Ukrainian forces to retake the village of Novodonetske in the eastern Donetsk region.
Meanwhile, Drone footage allegedly showing a car laden with explosives on top of the Kakhova dam when it collapsed earlier this month has emerged. Two Ukrainian officials told AP that Russian troops were stationed in a crucial area inside the dam where the alleged explosion took place. The Kremlin has accused the West of trying to undermine the stability of Russia’s domestic politics ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
