Filmed over the 4th and 5th December 2020 this is my first ever winter wild camp.

I headed up to Yestor, planning to meet my mate Robin up there.

As I didn’t get away as early as I would have liked it was already dark on my arrival at Rowtor.

During the relatively short walk up to Yestor, it was apparent that there had already been snow throughout the day.

On arrival at the foot of Yestor I was confronted with horizontal shards of ice, making it impossible to face the wind.

Once at Yestor and pitched it turned into proper snow which lasted for most of the evening.

I was met by Rob and later Richard and enjoyed their company for the remainder of the trip.

On this trip I was trying my Alpkit down bag. The bag performed great but it has made me realise that I need a more insulated Sleep pad.
