We're at the Digital Healthcare Show 2023 and Andy Downton talks to Priyantha Jayawardane, Deputy Director of the Digital Innovation Unit at NHS Midlands and Lancashire.
Priyantha explains how using digital means can improve productivity in the NHS at a time when waiting lists are soaring. With a focus necessary on prevention and early detection, a range of solutions can help prevent people from being admitted to hospitals unnecessarily. This includes remote monitoring, digital pathways for remote treatment and robotic process automation for routine tasks, so that skilled NHS employees can concentrate on value added work.
