미얀마 카렌반군, 태국 국경 인근 미얀마군 전초기지 점령해
An insurgent group in Myanmar attacked and captured a military base near the Thai border.
The Karen National Union's head of foreign affairs told Reuters that its armed wing, the Karen National Liberation Army, attacked the outpost on Tuesday local time.
The military post has been occupied and the group has been checking on casualties.
The spokesperson added there have been clashes at other locations, but did not give any details.
This comes days after Southeast Asian leaders reached an agreement with Myanmar's military on ending the violence.
The junta has not yet commented on the attack.
