In this interview we talk about why he is running for the leadership of Green Party of Canada, why he doesn't want to run as an NDP, how he'll attract disillusioned Liberal voters and frustrated NDP voters and supporters and why its important to seek them out (and not those who believe in the policies of the Conservatives, the Jason Kenneys and Doug Fords of Canada) into the Green Party and his response to people who might support him going after Liberal supporters but might accuse him of vote splitting/being spoiler for the NDP. What is eco-socialism and how its connected to anti-imperialism?
We talk about the Canadian imperial hot topics which are dividing the left such as opposition to NATO, the need to deescalate the Ukraine civil war but how it came to be and some uncomfortable truths about the Western/EU/NATO/Anglo-American-Canadian backed coup in Ukraine during the Euromaiden uprising that led to rival oligarchs and rival Neo-Nazis/Ultra nationalist Ukrainians to take power and how one goes forward with détente in Russia. I even ask how if he was an advisor to the besieged democratically elected democratic socialist government of Venezuela or the ousted government of Evo Morales in Bolivia what eco-socialist policies he would suggest they adopt to escape the economic terrorism that is sanctions imposed by the Western imperialists who want their oil and mining.
I ask him about his support for Palestinian justice and holding Israel to account in the wake of the horrendous Corbyn defeat in Britain thanks in large part to the fake anti-Semitism smear campaign leveled at him and his supporters many Palestine justice activists and Jewish Anti-Zionists and how he'll deal with the smears and hostility if he becomes leader of the Greens and carries on supporting Palestine justice and being critical of Israel and its supporters in the wake of the Canadian ruling parties and establishment supporting more censorship regarding criticism of Israel and holding Israel to account.
I ask about Canada's real role or lack thereof of combating climate change, the environmental record of the often ruling Liberal Party, the government of Brian Mulroney Prime Minister and leader of the Progressive Conservatives during the 80s and early 90s and how that compares to the current Trudeau/Liberal government and the Stephen Harper Conservative government before.
I got to ask how he'll address the overlooked but extremely important climate issue of the meat industry, why are Greens in general afraid to address it and how he'd tackle that issue
I ask if he become leader of the Greens and an MP which issues regarding imperialism he'd like to address and hold the ruling Liberal Party and fake opposition to account, I ask about his confrontations with the Prime Minister during the last general election and his work with Yves Engler (past two time guest) and others in a group called Disruption Canada which got them the notice of the Canadian deep state and RCMP (Royal Canadian Mountain Police) and why did so many well intentioned environmentalists and left leaning folk support Justin Trudeau despite his and his Liberal Party horrendous track record, and how did he manage to get a second term despite a slimmer majority,
