Spiked Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
3 cups whole or nut milk, divided
1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
60 ml Johnnie Walker Gold
2 Tbsp. Amarula
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. kosher salt
Whipped cream, for topping (optional)
Non-alcoholic version: Omit Johnnie Walker Gold and substitute Amarula with coffee.
Method:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk cocoa powder and 1/4 cup milk until combined, then whisk in remaining two 3/4 cups milk. Once the mixture is hot but not simmering, whisk in chocolate and stir until melted and smooth. Stir in Johnnie Walker Gold, Amarula, vanilla, and salt until combined.
Divide hot chocolate among mugs. Top with cream and marshmallows, if using.
