Ikebukuro Station is the world's 3rd busiest train station behind Shinjuku Station and Shibuya Station. It receives over 2.71 million passengers per day passing through its corridors and train platforms. It originally opened on April 1st, 1903.
The station itself is connected with the Seibu, Tobu, Parco, and Lumine department stores.
The station provides commuters a connection with the Yamanote Line, Saikyo Line, Shonan-Shinjuku Line, the Seibu-Ikebukuro Line, the Tobu Tojo Line, as well as the Marunouchi, Yurakucho, and Fukutoshin lines.
If you're ever in Tokyo, Ikebukuro is definitely one of the places you really need to check out. Good luck not getting lost inside the station!
